This is a two-mile walking tour of historic downtown. Route is moderate, with some inclines.
Suitable for most ages and fitness levels. Due to staircases, it is not wheelchair accessible.
Tour begins and ends in different locations. Meeting & ending points will be provided @ purchase.
Our meeting location will be the front porch of the Olde Staunton Inn located at 260 N. Lewis St., Staunton, VA 24401.
Free parking is available just next door at the Staunton Bus & Trolley Hub at 252 N. Lewis St. Staunton, VA 24401. Please do not park at the Olde Staunton Inn unless you are a guest of the inn.

Yes, advance ticket purchase is required. Events typically sell out quickly. To maximize your chances of getting the date, time, and number of tickets you prefer, please book well in advance. Tickets can only be purchased from our website. Non-ticketed individuals, walk-up traffic, and cash purchases are not accepted the day of the tour. Persons without a ticket will not be permitted on the tour.
Gratuities are greatly appreciated, but not mandatory. The standard gratuity in the tourism industry is 15%-20%.
The tours are held rain, shine, snow, and in all temperatures. In the event of inclement weather, we will be able to go inside many of the establishments on the tour. We advise to check the weather conditions for your day’s event and dress appropriately.
While all tasting locations are accessible, there is a stairway along the tour route making this tour not suitable or accessible for persons who use a wheelchair. If you have questions or concerns feel free to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org prior to purchasing your tour ticket.
You should always have comfortable shoes, your camera and/or cell phone. When it’s really hot out, we recommend an application of sunscreen on exposed parts of the body, a lightweight pair of sunglasses, a hat, and bottled water. During the cooler seasons it’s important to wear an extra layer of clothing and consider bringing a scarf, gloves, and a winter hat. If it looks like rain, please bring a rain jacket or umbrella. Check the local weather report the day of your event and bring along any item you feel necessary to make your walk more enjoyable.
